For schedule requests, please complete the Google Form here
Counselors will follow up regarding each request that is received. Walk-ins are not permitted, and in an effort to streamline, we ask that you only use this form and do not email your requests. The policy for adding or dropping courses is included in our district calendar and student handbook. They state the following: No additions will be permitted after the first 15 days of classes. A student may not drop a course before the completion of the first 12 days and a drop form must be completed and approved by parent, counselor, teacher, chairperson, and administrator Juniors and Seniors must be scheduled for six classes and PE.
Freshmen and Sophomores must be fully scheduled with seven classes and PE.
PSAT Info
Dear 10th & 11th Grade Students & Families, We hope the summer has been enjoyable and productive thus far. As we begin to consider ideas for the fall, please be aware of the following information. Following other changes being implemented by the College Board, the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) will be offered by digital means starting this fall. (*The SAT moves to digital testing starting in January 2024.) In an effort to ready students for the digital exam, and because taking the PSAT is a great way to prepare for the SAT college and career, Calhoun/Kennedy/Mepham High School will be offering the test on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Test results and their accompanying analysis are valuable tools that help prepare students for the SAT and educational opportunities beyond high school, so it is recommended that all juniors take advantage of this opportunity. Note also that the PSAT is the qualifying test that juniors must take to enter the National Merit Scholarship Corporation competitions for college scholarships that will be awarded during senior year. Sophomores who are enrolled in AP Seminar or English 2H and Algebra 2 or Algebra 2H are prepared for the test and urged to take the PSAT, too.
The registration fee for the PSAT is $26.00 and students are responsible for registering online at: http://aptsusa.com/calhoun beginning Monday, August 21 through Wednesday, September 6. The link is also located on the school website. Students who may be eligible for a fee waiver should contact their school counselor for fee waiver codes prior to registration. More information about the PSAT will be provided during the last week of August. Any questions that exist at that time should be directed to school counselors.

Please note that Course Requests for the 2024 - 2025 school year are posted on the portal. The link is located on the left of the screen and is titled, "Course Registration." Please verify the accuracy of these selections. It is essential that course requests be considered a COMMITMENT by students and their families since we create our master schedule and order supplies for the school year based upon students' course selections. ONLY CHANGES NECESSITATED BY CURRENT COURSE FAILURES OR SUMMER SCHOOL WILL BE ALLOWED.
Juniors are REQUIRED to take a minimum of 6 periods of instruction plus physical education. Students can take additional electives to fill and enhance their programs.
It is important to note that some of the courses which appear now may not be offered next year. Courses with insufficient enrollments will be cancelled. Students will be asked to make alternate choices should this occur.
If there is an error on this listing or you wish to make a change, have your son or daughter see his/her counselor immediately. (Parents and students are not able to adjust course requests via the portal.) Please note that the ability to make changes at this point will be limited. All changes will be reflected on the Infinite Campus Portal.
